RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and maintain asset genealogy graphs on AWS Neptune to support complex multi-hop traceability and metadata relationships.
- Define/govern RDF/OWL ontologies, canonical asset IDs, schema mappings, and semantic rules.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain Gremlin and/or SPARQL queries for traversal, analytics, and API consumption.
- Implement bulk load strategies, CDC patterns, cross-system synchronization, and graph-oriented data quality validations.
- Operate Neptune clusters: indexing, performance tuning, backup, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with backend teams (Java/Spring Boot) to expose graph capabilities via REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Work with data architects/business teams to support Digital Product Passport (DPP) and other semantic/linked-data use cases.
- Build and operate ingestion/transformation pipelines on AWS; implement ETL/ELT using Python, AWS Glue, Spark to feed graph and tabular stores.
- Manage governance and security across domains/regions/customers using Lake Formation/IAM.
- Set up data quality checks, observability, error handling, and monitoring to ensure stable, scalable data pipelines.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4–5 years hands-on experience with AWS Neptune (or equivalent graph DB).
- Strong proficiency in Gremlin (TinkerPop) and/or SPARQL.
- Deep understanding of RDF, OWL, ontology modeling, and ERD-to-RDF mapping.
- Experience with graph indexing/optimization, bulk loading, CDC, and graph data QA.
- Strong background in Java + Spring Boot for microservices and API integration.
- Knowledge of AWS services: Neptune, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC/networking.
Required – Data Engineering
- 3–5 years of Data Engineering experience in production environments.
- Proficiency in Python, AWS Glue/Spark, and ETL/ELT patterns.
- Familiarity with Lake Formation and IAM permission models.
- Experience implementing data quality/observability and operational monitoring.
