JOB OVERVIEW
We are currently looking for a Junior Service Management Officer to join our project team, which is one of the UK’s leading financial and online retail corporations specializing in corporate travel solutions., with annual revenue exceeding £2.2 billion
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure stability, security, and performance of CTM’s database systems across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (e.g., SQL Server).
- Implement high-availability solutions such as replication, clustering, and Always on Availability Groups.
- Manage identity and access controls, encryption, and monitor database activity using SIEM tools.
- Optimize performance through query tuning, index optimization, and partitioning.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, maintenance procedures, and recovery plans.
- Conduct recovery tests and ensure compliance with disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
REQUIREMENTS
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL Server and other DBMS platforms.
- Experience with backup strategies (full, incremental, differential) and recovery testing.
- Proficiency in performance monitoring tools (e.g., SQL Profiler, cloud-native tools).
- Strong analytical skills for identifying bottlenecks and system failures.
- Critical thinking for risk assessment and preventive measures.
- Ability to interpret system metrics and anticipate potential issues.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts in 24x7 or 24x5 services or UK time zone.
