About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Associate to own organic search at Everfit, covering both traditional SEO and answer engine optimization (AEO).
The role is hands-on. You will set the search strategy, run the content pipeline that supports it, fix the technical issues holding us back, and be measured on the trial signups and pipeline that organic search delivers.
Responsibilities
SEO & AEO strategy
- Own Everfit's organic search strategy end to end: keyword and topic architecture, content roadmap, internal linking, and competitive positioning across our core US/UK/AU markets
- Build and run our Answer Engine Optimization program: structure content so it gets retrieved and cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews
- Track share of voice across AI assistants the way we track SERP rankings, establish the measurement, not just the reporting
- Develop entity and brand-mention strategy: schema, knowledge panel, third-party citations, review platforms, and the sources LLMs actually pull from
Content operations
- Run the editorial calendar from brief to publish. You will own both the strategy and execution.
- Write sharp, specific briefs and manage a bench of freelance writers and subject-matter contributors
- Edit content for accuracy and voice based on Everfit’s brand
- Build repeatable systems: templates, QA checklists, refresh cycles, so output scales without you being the bottleneck
Technical SEO & analytics
- Own site health: crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, redirects, and structured data
- Implement and maintain schema markup (Product, FAQ, HowTo, Organization, Review) with a bias toward what machines can parse
- Work with engineering to prioritize and ship SEO fixes, translate technical debt into business impact
- Build and maintain reporting in GA4, Google Search Console, and our SEO stack; report on rankings, traffic, and the metrics that actually matter downstream
Product-led growth contribution
- Partner with Product and Lifecycle on landing pages, comparison pages, and bottom-of-funnel content that converts
- Run experiments on page structure, CTAs, and content formats
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a university abroad (US, UK, Australia, Canada, EU, or Singapore) this role writes and edits for a native-English-speaking professional audience, and international academic experience is a core requirement
- Near-native English writing ability: you can write long form content (over 2,000 words) that would resonate strongly with a US-based fitness coach 3–5 years in SEO or content marketing, with at least 2 years owning organic search outcomes directly (agency or in-house)
- Demonstrated results: you can point to specific pages, keywords, or programs and explain what you did and what happened
- Working knowledge of technical SEO, you don't need to write code, but you need to read a crawl report, diagnose an indexation issue, and brief an engineer credibly
- Fluency with GA4, Google Search Console, and at least one of Ahrefs / Semrush / Screaming Frog
- Comfort with ambiguity: AEO has no established playbook, and you'll be writing ours
Preferred Skills
- B2B SaaS experience, ideally product-led (free trial or freemium motion)
- Hands-on experimentation with LLM visibility. You've tested how AI assistants describe your brand and done something about it
- Experience managing freelancers or a small content team
- Interest in fitness, health, or the coaching industry
- Working knowledge of AI tooling for content workflows, with judgment about where it helps and where it hurts
