Technical Project Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to act as the key technology lead at our partner organisation, driving project delivery, technical integration and feature releases across both organisations.

You will serve as the technology bridge between internal engineering teams and external partners, ensuring alignment on technical requirements, system performance, release timelines and issue resolution.

This is primarily a PMO and delivery-focused role, covering planning, tracking, reporting, communication and escalation. At the same time, we expect a strong technical foundation — someone who can understand system architecture, work with APIs and logs, troubleshoot integration issues and collaborate effectively with engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Release & Delivery Management

• Own and maintain the overall Release Calendar, ensuring feature releases and Go-Live milestones are delivered on schedule.
• Coordinate release planning, dependencies, technical readiness and deployment activities across both organisations.
• Assess technical risks before each release and ensure rollback plans and incident playbooks are prepared.
• Lead Go/No-Go assessments and coordinate production deployment activities.
• Track post-release issues and ensure timely resolution with relevant technical teams.

Technical Integration & Partner Management

• Act as the primary technical point of contact between internal engineering teams and external partners.
• Align technical requirements covering API integration, authentication, data encryption and transaction/data synchronisation flows.
• Identify technical gaps early, including differences in system capabilities, architecture, integration approaches and data processing.
• Work closely with engineering teams to resolve integration issues and ensure technical decisions are clearly communicated and followed through.
• Facilitate technical discussions between engineering, QA, product and partner teams when cross-functional alignment is required.

Technology Performance & Issue Resolution

• Monitor key technical and operational metrics such as API latency, response time, connection success rate, timeout rate and integration errors.
• Work with engineering teams to investigate issues, identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Review system logs, API responses and monitoring dashboards to validate issues and understand actual system behaviour.
• Escalate critical technical risks and blockers with clear impact, ownership and resolution timelines.

Reporting & Incident Management

• Prepare regular technical reports covering project progress, release status, system performance, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Establish and manage a clear escalation process to ensure issues are routed to the right owners and resolved within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate technical incident response and act as Incident Commander during major production incidents.
• Own incident communication across stakeholders and ensure timely updates throughout the resolution process.
• Coordinate post-incident reviews and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
