**About the Role:**
VinSmart Future is looking for a senior technical leader who can bridge Data, Machine Learning, AI, and Product to build scalable, production-grade intelligent systems.
This role is suitable for someone with strong foundations in Data Science and Machine Learning who also understands data platforms, engineering, model deployment, and business applications. You will lead the technical direction of AI/ML and Data initiatives from problem definition and architecture through modeling, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Own the technical direction and architecture for AI/ML and Data solutions across multiple products and business domains.
- Translate complex business problems into practical Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI solutions with measurable impact.
- Lead end-to-end ML development, including data preparation, feature engineering, modeling, experimentation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Design and evolve scalable data platforms and pipelines supporting analytics, machine learning, and AI workloads.
- Drive solutions across areas such as recommendation, personalization, forecasting, fraud detection, scoring, optimization, customer intelligence, NLP, and other applied AI use cases.
- Establish engineering and modeling standards covering data quality, model performance, reproducibility, monitoring, and governance.
- Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, mentoring, and code/model reviews for Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Data Engineers.
- Evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies and determine where they can create meaningful business value.
**Requirements**
- **8+ years of experience across Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Data Engineering**
, or related technical areas, with experience leading complex technical initiatives.
- Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, optimization, and data-driven problem solving.
- Hands-on experience designing, training, deploying, and monitoring machine learning models in production.
- Strong understanding of large-scale data platforms, ETL/ELT, feature engineering, distributed processing, and data architecture.
- Experience with modern ML frameworks and data technologies such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Databricks, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience solving applied ML problems such as recommendation, ranking, forecasting, fraud detection, scoring, customer analytics, NLP, or optimization.
- Proven experience mentoring or leading Data Science, ML Engineering, AI, or Data teams.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- Research background or strong ability to understand and translate academic methods into practical production solutions.
- Experience building or leading centralized Data/AI platforms.
- Experience with real-time ML systems, feature platforms, model monitoring, MLOps, and data governance.
- Experience working in large-scale consumer technology, fintech, e-commerce, mobility, telecommunications, or digital platforms.
