Procurement Executive (8-month contract)

I. JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for: 

(a) Managing and executing end-to-end non-trade procurement activities across multiple categories, ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement requirements.

(b) Managing supplier and stakeholder relationships to ensure effective, responsive and value-driven procurement support across the business.

(c) Driving sourcing and continuous improvement initiatives within categories through market research, RFX, negotiation, spend analysis and supplier management to optimize cost, quality and service.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Procurement

• Develop and execute sourcing approaches for categories in alignment with business requirements, procurement objectives and cost efficiency.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify qualified suppliers, understand market conditions, benchmark pricing and identify sourcing opportunities.
• Lead RFX activities, supplier evaluation and negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and favorable commercial terms.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing and other value creation initiatives

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with internal stakeholders across functions to understand business requirements and provide appropriate procurement solutions.
• Proactively engage stakeholders to challenge requirements, identify cost and efficiency opportunities, and ensure procurement activities meet business needs.
• Provide procurement insights on market trends, supplier capabilities and commercial considerations to support business decisions.
• Build effective relationships with key stakeholders and ensure timely and responsive procurement support.

Operational Procurement

• Manage end-to-end procurement operations, including sourcing, contracting and PO issuance.
• Manage multiple procurement requests and priorities simultaneously, balancing cost, speed, quality and business requirements.

·Coordinate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve procurement and operational issues and ensure business continuity.

• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and internal controls

Supplier Management

• Manage day-to-day relationships with assigned suppliers and ensure agreed commercial and service requirements are met.
• Monitor supplier performance against key parameters, including pricing, quality, delivery, responsiveness and service levels.

·Address supplier performance issues and work with suppliers and stakeholders to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.

• Support supplier review, development and performance improvement initiatives where required.

Spend Analysis and Continuous Improvement

• Conduct spend analysis and provide data-driven insights to identify cost-saving and procurement improvement opportunities.

·Monitor procurement spending, sourcing outcomes and cost-saving initiatives within assigned categories.

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, process effectiveness and non-trade spend control.

Education Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.

Experience & Skills:

·At least 3 years of hands-on experience in procurement operations.

·Negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder coordination skills.

·Experience in fast-paced environments (E-commerce, FMCG, MNCs) is preferred.

·Strong analytical mindset with ability to work with cost data and reporting.

·Good presentation skills to communicate insights, sourcing decisions, and procurement performance.

·Pro- active, self-motivated, well-organized, efficient and ability to work under pressure.

·Basic knowledge of automation tools, data analysis, (e.g., Excel VBA, Py, Power BI, AI tools) is a strong advantage.
