Money out doesn’t always mean money spent. You might be paying for a friend, moving money between your own accounts, or setting something aside for next month. Money coming in might be a repayment. A transaction tells us that money moved. Understanding what it means takes context. At MoMo, we want to change what people can expect from managing their money. That starts with understanding what a payment was for, whose money it was, and how it fits into someone’s financial life. The same category can mean different things to different people. Useful financial understanding needs to make room for that. You’ll own the direction and roadmap for the foundations that help our Personal Finance experiences understand users’ money. We’re looking for a Product Lead with a background in AI, Data, or Engineering, strong semantic thinking, and a sharp sense of what is worth building. Someone who is fascinated by what AI can make possible, gets hands-on to find out, and turns technical depth into experiences people can understand and trust. Mô tả công việcWhat you will do:Make the meaning of money clearer. Study the situations that conventional transaction records struggle to explain. Shape how we represent purpose, ownership, money movement, and the categories that matter to each person. Preserve the distinctions that help users understand their finances, and make them easy to express. Help the system learn what users shouldn’t have to repeat. Work with Engineering, Data, and AI teams to use context, behavioral patterns, and previous clarifications thoughtfully. Build evals, setting guardrails in ways to recognize familiar situations, adapt when circumstances change, and ask for clarification when it adds value. Build a logging experience worth choosing. Use the foundations already in place to help users create, enrich, or correct records naturally through text, voice, and images. Discover where input can become easier and where better interpretation can make the resulting financial picture more useful. Turn AI possibilities into working products. Prototype, test, and iterate with real financial situations. Get close to the data and code, investigate failures, and work through technical choices with the people building the system. Make deliberate tradeoffs between quality, response time, cost, and user effort. Own the roadmap and connect the portfolio. Set priorities across all three mechanisms and lead decisions from discovery through launch. Partner with other product owners so an understanding established in one experience remains useful and consistent when users view spending, manage their funds, or prepare for what comes next. Prove that understanding is getting better. Define and evaluate quality through the results users receive: relevant meanings captured, information reflected correctly, and less work needed over time. Test ambiguous cases and repeated use, follow what happens after launch, and turn what you learn into the next improvement. What you will impact: Help people across Vietnam see their money more clearly—and discover more freedom in what they can do with it. Yêu cầu công việcMust-haveStrong semantic thinking, grounded in accounting logic. You can connect how people understand and describe their money with the accounting and ledger logic that keeps financial records consistent. You distinguish a payment’s purpose from its financial effect—what was spent, moved, owed, or paid back—and understand how each should be recorded and reconciled. You turn those distinctions into concepts that feel natural to users and map consistently to the underlying data and systems. A background in AI, Data, or Engineering. You’ve worked directly with data or technical systems and understand how they work beneath the interface. You can investigate data quality, read code, and reason through system behavior with technical experts. You bring that depth to product decisions. Practical AI fluency—and the curiosity to keep building. You understand how today’s AI systems use context, retrieval, and memory, where their outputs can fail, and how to evaluate whether they are improving. You actively explore new capabilities, build working experiments, and pursue applications that solve real problems with money. A strong sense of what is right to build. You’ve shipped something or owned a consequential product decision with demonstrable impact. You can explain why the problem mattered, what evidence shaped your choices, and what changed for users. You know when to push an idea further, simplify it, or let it go. Ownership that carries through. You can shape a roadmap, lead through judgment and clarity, and align people across product and technical teams. You follow difficult problems into the details, make decisions with incomplete information, and stay accountable for the experience that reaches users. Nice-to-haveExperience with personalization, natural language interfaces, information extraction, or AI systems that improve through user feedback. Experience evaluating products against messy, ambiguous, or multilingual real-world data. Familiarity with personal finance, payments, accounting concepts, or products where getting the meaning of data right is essential. Your experience can come from any industry. Show us how you connect technical understanding, product judgment, and real user value.
