Due to our continued growth, we are looking to expand our highly experienced Australian team and searching for a mid to senior Digital Business Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

The Role

As a Digital Business Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of business, strategy, design and technology.

You'll work directly with clients and internal delivery teams to understand business objectives, identify opportunities, define requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.

You will play a key role throughout the digital project lifecycle - from discovery and solution definition, Statement of Work creation, through to delivery and optimisation.

You'll work closely with Delivery Manager, Project Managers, Solution Architects, UX/UI Designers, Developers, QA and client stakeholders to ensure everyone understands what needs to be delivered and, more importantly, why.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Discovery & Requirements

• Lead and facilitate client discovery sessions and requirements workshops.
• Uncover and understand business objectives, customer needs, processes and pain points.
• Analyse existing digital platforms, processes and customer journeys.
• Translate business objectives into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases and other BA artefacts.
• Identify dependencies, assumptions, risks and gaps early in the project.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Work directly with client stakeholders to understand their priorities and challenges.
• Build trusted relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Challenge requirements constructively and help clients distinguish between must-have, should-have and nice-to-have functionality.
• Communicate complex technical concepts in a simple and commercially relevant way.
• Manage competing stakeholder requirements and help drive alignment.

Digital Solution & Delivery

• Work closely with Solution Architects to translate business requirements into practical digital solutions.
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure customer and business requirements are reflected in the experience design.
• Work closely with developers to maintain requirements throughout delivery, managing changes and clarifications, documenting key decisions, and ensuring traceability.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies.
• Review delivered functionality against requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support UAT planning, execution and issue resolution.
• Help ensure solutions are delivered within agreed scope.

Pre-Sales & New Business

As an agency BA, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to new business and proposals.

This may include:

• Participating in client pitches and discovery sessions.
• Supporting RFP/RFI responses.
• Estimating and scoping BA activities.
• Helping define project scope and delivery approaches, then communicating this to internal overseas delivery teams.
• Identifying opportunities and recommending digital solutions.
• Translating client challenges into compelling solution propositions.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong business analysis fundamentals with real-world digital agency experience.

Essential

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a digital agency, digital consultancy or technology services environment.
• Experience working on complex digital projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis and documentation.
• Experience facilitating (physical and remote) workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear requirements and actionable outcomes.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of digital customer journeys, CMS-driven websites and modern web applications
• Ability to work effectively with UX designers, developers, architects and project managers.
• Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger business objective.
• A delivery-focused mindset and willingness to get hands-on.
• Ability to travel as required.

Highly Desirable

Experience with one or more of the following:

• Optimizely CMS and other Optimizely products
• Other enterprise DXP platforms
• CMS implementations
• Modern web and CMS architectures, including traditional coupled, headless and composable models
• eCommerce platforms
• Digital transformation programs
• Digital platform integrations, including CRM, service management platforms, identity providers, analytics and other enterprise or marketing systems
• Marketing technology
• API and systems integration
• Analytics and personalisation
• AI-enabled digital experiences

Experience defining requirements across multiple systems, including data flows, API integrations, authentication and dependencies between frontend and backend platforms
