This is a remote role based in Canada, the US, or the UK, with significant overlap with US and Canadian working hours required. Occasional face-to-face client meetings in the US or Canada may take place, typically around once a year, but are not mandatory.

As an Experimentation & CRO Lead

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Client leadership

• Leads the client relationship directly, working with client teams in the US and Canada across time zones and running meetings with multiple client-side stakeholders rather than reporting to a single contact.
• Builds credibility as a trusted experimentation partner, constructively challenges client assumptions, defends recommendations with evidence, and adapts the approach when client feedback identifies a genuine gap.
• Represents Niteco face-to-face with clients in the US or Canada on an occasional basis.

Understanding the business and setting strategy

• Goes beyond analytics to understand the client's customers, proposition, commercial priorities and wider digital strategy, bringing together quantitative data, qualitative insight, existing research and experimentation learnings.
• Builds experimentation programmes around client business objectives and customer behavior, translating identified opportunities into evidence-based hypotheses and a roadmap prioritized by potential customer and commercial impact.
• Proactively identifies new experimentation opportunities, maintaining a healthy pipeline of ideas rather than relying solely on client requests or an existing backlog.
• Recommends against testing when experimentation isn't the right approach.

Experimentation delivery and quality

• Works independently and confidently in GA4 to answer experimentation and customer behavior questions, including funnel performance, segmentation, conversion behavior and experiment context.
• Ensures experiments are properly defined before delivery, with clear hypotheses, success metrics, tracking requirements, targeting, and decision criteria, and reviews implementation and results before making recommendations.
• Owns the interpretation of experiment results, combining statistical outcomes with customer behavior and business context to determine what was learned, what should happen next and whether further experimentation is warranted.
• Retains sufficient hands-on capability across the full experimentation lifecycle, from research and hypothesis development through briefing, QA, analysis and reporting, to move work forward personally when needed.

Building the practice

• Directs Niteco's specialist teams (UX, development, QA, data and project management) as they take on more of the delivery, briefing them clearly and reviewing their work against the strategy.
• Creates the processes and ways of working that let Niteco scale experimentation across more clients and more people over time. Coaches and develops team members involved in experimentation, raising CRO capability across the wider delivery team and creating a pathway for others to take on increasing ownership.
• Builds the model this role and its team will work within, rather than simply operating inside one that already exists.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

Essential

• A solid understanding of how e-commerce sites work and convert. Both live programmes are for large e-commerce brands, so this isn't optional.
• Demonstrated experience operating at lead level rather than solely as an individual specialist, including strategic ownership of an experimentation programme and direct leadership of the client relationship through challenge and disagreement.
• Independently manages senior client relationships in complex agency or consultancy environments, aligning stakeholders with competing priorities and maintaining trust across the US and Canada.
• Deep, hands-on comfort in GA4: builds explorations and reports to find specific answers, not just reads dashboards someone else built.
• Hands-on experience running experiments in Optimizely Web Experimentation, Niteco's platform of choice, reflecting our Optimizely partner status. Experience with other platforms such as VWO, AB Tasty or Convert is an advantage.
• Proficient in experiment fundamentals, including sample-size calculation and statistical-significance analysis, with the ability to interpret and defend results directly to clients.
• Based in, or close to, the client's US or Canadian time zones, with significant overlap with their working day, not just an hour or two of crossover.
• A generalist across the experimentation lifecycle—from research and hypothesis design to UX/dev briefing, QA, and reporting—with the judgement to delegate effectively and build trust with specialist teams to deliver under their direction.
• Commercial, consultative judgment connects experimentation to customer needs and business outcomes—not just UI tests—recognizes when experimentation isn't appropriate and aims to build a scalable practice rather than follow a fixed playbook.
• Candidates based in Eastern or Central time zones are preferred.

HOW WE WILL MEASURE SUCCESS

• Clear, evidence-led experimentation strategies and healthy pipelines on both existing e-commerce programmes, with clients who trust the process and the person leading it.
• Experiments grounded in customer and business problems, with clearly defined hypotheses and success criteria, producing actionable learning regardless of whether the original hypothesis wins.
• Independent leadership of senior client conversations, including constructive challenge and defense of recommendations where appropriate.
• Specialist teams increasingly own delivery activity, freeing this role to focus on strategy, opportunity identification and client leadership.
• Experiment learnings consistently feed into subsequent tests, implementation decisions and future roadmap priorities.
• A clear, repeatable experimentation model that could be applied to a third or fourth client without relying on one person to execute every task.
• Agreed measurable KPIs per programme, for example experimentation velocity, hypothesis win-rate and client satisfaction (NPS), to be defined with Growth and Innovation and the client.
