The Opportunity

As a member of our Japanese Business Services (JBS) team, you will support Japanese clients operating in Vietnam by assisting with tax engagements, client communications, business development activities, and Japanese-English-Vietnamese translation. Working closely with Tax professionals and client-serving teams, you will help deliver exceptional client experiences while building strong relationships within the Japanese business community.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Tax teams in serving Japanese clients and coordinating day-to-day communications.
• Assist Supervisors and Managers in delivering tax compliance, advisory, and related client engagements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Japanese clients and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner.
• Coordinate communication between clients and EY service lines to ensure effective service delivery.
• Support business development activities, including preparation of proposals, presentations, client events, and marketing materials.
• Conduct market and client research to identify business opportunities within the Japanese market.
• Provide accurate Japanese-English-Vietnamese translation and interpretation for meetings, emails, reports, and other business documents.
• Monitor client needs and escalate issues appropriately to engagement teams.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Japanese Language, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, Tax, or related disciplines.
• Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N2 or above.
• Strong communication skills in Japanese, English, and Vietnamese.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Ideally, You'll Also Have

• Experience working with Japanese clients or Japanese companies.
• Knowledge of Vietnamese tax regulations, accounting, or business environment.
• Prior experience in tax consulting, professional services, or business development is an advantage.
• JLPT N1 certification is a plus.
