ABOUT THE JOB
- Design, develop, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for Web Applications and Desktop Applications
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into well-structured, logical, and comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Define the test approach, testing logic, and test coverage to ensure business requirements are fully validated.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
- Conduct API testing using Postman to validate backend services and system integrations.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify potential gaps before development and testing.
- Participate in requirement review sessions and provide QA recommendations to improve product quality.
- Support data migration testing, including validating data mapping, data integrity, reconciliation, and migration accuracy between source and target systems.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to project teams.
- Support production releases and post-deployment verification.
- Work within Agile/Scrum teams and actively participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–5+ years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
- Strong experience testing Web Applications and basic exposure to Desktop Applications.
- Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman.
- Strong ability to analyze business requirements and independently design logical, scalable, and maintainable test cases.
- Able to determine test structure, testing strategy, test coverage, and validation logic for complex business flows.
- Experience working directly with Business Analysts or end users to clarify requirements and transform them into effective test scenarios.
- Experience in data migration projects
- Candidates without direct data migration experience should demonstrate a solid understanding of migration testing concepts and strong test design capabilities.
- Experience in the Insurance domain is a plus.
- Familiarity with SQL, database validation, or test management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.) is an advantage.
- Flexible, proactive, highly responsible, and eager to learn.
