We are looking for a QA Automation Lead to lead QA excellence across our Scrum teams. You will provide QA leadership and oversight across the product lifecycle, from discovery through to launch, while supporting the growth and development of QA capabilities across the teams.
- Work closely with QAs, engineers, analysts, and product owners to identify testing needs and ensure quality across deliverables.
- Oversee the creation and execution of test plans and testing strategies across Scrum teams.
- Liaise with Engineering Managers and Leads to define end-to-end testing plans and ensure high-quality releases from Non-Prod environments through to Production.
- Lead automation testing efforts and collaborate with other QA Leads to ensure QA frameworks are reusable across similar technologies.
- Champion QA practices and promote the role and impact of QA professionals across the HUB.
- Communicate testing status, risks, and issues clearly to senior management and team members.
- Drive improvements to QA processes and standards to enable high-performing teams.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop QA engineers.
- Manage and support the development of up to 10 QA engineers, including performance and career development planning.
- Build and promote a strong quality culture across both QA and feature product teams.
- Be accountable for industry testing, collaborating with QA teams from local banks and third-party partners to ensure features are delivered with high quality.
Must-haves
- At least 2 years of experience in a QA / Testing Lead role, preferably on major projects.
- 5–7 years of experience in software testing, covering API, Web, Mobile, and other relevant testing areas.
- Experience in the Digital domain, with a strong preference for finance, banking, or lending experience.
- Solid experience with QA processes in Agile / Scrum delivery environments.
- Strong knowledge of multiple test automation tools (Selenium, Appium, etc.) and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Good working knowledge of test management tools, QA methodologies, and Agile testing practices.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to drive and coordinate QA practices and processes across multiple delivery teams.
- Experience with performance testing.
- Experience with microservices testing.
- Experience with exploratory testing and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Good English communication skills across writing, reading, speaking, and listening.
Desirable
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Experience working with teams across different countries and cultural backgrounds.
- Experience with software engineering best practices.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with sponsors, business stakeholders, and developers.
