Senior QC Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QC Engineer to take a leading role in building and strengthening our Quality Engineering capabilities. Beyond hands-on testing, you will drive testing standards, establish scalable quality processes, develop shared testing platforms, and promote quality-driven practices across technology teams.

This role is ideal for an experienced Quality Engineer with comprehensive expertise in Manual Testing, Test Automation, and Performance Testing, combined with a strong mindset for process improvement, platform development, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Engineering Strategy & Delivery

• Define and implement testing strategies, quality standards, and risk-based testing approaches across technology projects.

• Lead test planning, test design, execution, and quality assessment across web, mobile, API, database, integration, and end-to-end business workflows.

• Design and execute comprehensive testing activities covering Manual Testing, Test Automation, and Performance Testing.

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks, reusable test components, performance test scripts, test data, and reporting solutions.

• Review business requirements, solution architecture, and technical designs to identify quality risks, testability gaps, and potential system issues early in the development lifecycle.

• Lead defect management, root-cause analysis, and release-readiness assessments, providing clear recommendations to stakeholders.

2. Testing Process & Platform Development

• Build, standardize, and continuously improve end-to-end testing processes, methodologies, templates, and quality engineering practices.

• Design and develop reusable testing frameworks, automation libraries, test-data management solutions, and shared testing components.

• Drive the development and adoption of centralized QC platforms and tools to improve testing efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and establish quality gates throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

• Establish quality metrics, test coverage standards, defect tracking, and reporting mechanisms to monitor product quality and testing effectiveness.

• Explore and apply emerging technologies, including AI-assisted testing, to optimize testing productivity and coverage.

3. Technical Leadership & Team Development

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance to QC Engineers across different testing disciplines.

• Lead test design reviews, automation framework reviews, performance test reviews, and quality assessments.

• Mentor and coach team members, promote knowledge sharing, and build a continuous improvement culture.

• Coordinate testing activities across projects, ensuring quality objectives, timelines, and deliverables are met.

• Collaborate with Product, Business, Engineering, DevOps, and external partners to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Contribute to resource planning, capability development, and the long-term direction of the Quality Engineering function.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 8 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience across all three testing disciplines: Manual Testing, Test Automation, and Performance Testing, with deep technical expertise in at least one area.

• Proven ability to analyze requirements, design test strategies, develop test cases, execute testing, manage defects, and evaluate product quality.

• Practical experience in developing and maintaining automation scripts, testing frameworks, and reusable test components.

• Hands-on experience in designing and executing performance tests, analyzing test results, identifying bottlenecks, and evaluating system performance.

• Experience in building testing frameworks, standardizing QA/QC processes, and improving testing efficiency.

• Experience in developing or contributing to centralized testing platforms, shared testing solutions, or automated testing infrastructure.

• Proven experience in technical leadership, reviewing testing deliverables, mentoring team members, or coordinating testing activities.

• Good understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, risk-based testing, and defect management.

• Strong knowledge of API, database, integration, end-to-end, and non-functional testing.

• Proficiency in SQL and test-data validation.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Proactive mindset with the ability to drive initiatives independently and influence quality practices across teams.

Technical Skills & Tools

Experience with the following tools and technologies is preferred:

• Manual & Test Management: Jira, Xray, Zephyr, TestRail, or equivalent.

• API Testing: Postman, Insomnia, SoapUI, REST Assured, Karate.

• Test Automation: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Katalon, Robot Framework.

• Performance Testing: JMeter, k6, Gatling, LoadRunner.

• Programming: Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or equivalent.

• Monitoring & Reporting: Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, ELK.

• CI/CD & DevOps: Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
