Ride on the wave of Industry 4.0! Join STYL Solutions in the forefront of using Fintech and IoT technologies for smart city/nation transformation. Headquartered in Singapore with an R&D center in Vietnam, STYL Solutions designs, develops, and supplies hardware, software, and integrated solutions for applications in payment, loyalty management, location tracking, self-service operation, telemetry. Our market segment coverage extends from financial services, retail, mass transit, education to social services markets in Singapore and South Asia Pacific.
Our vision is to use Fintech and IoT to create smart and efficient cities that enhance Quality of Life through convenience and healthier living.
1. Software development & architecture
• Design, build and maintain production-grade backend services and APIs, writing clean, well-tested, maintainable code and owning features from design through to production.
• Define the software architecture for new and existing systems — service boundaries, API contracts, integration and event-driven patterns — documented through architecture decision records, and review human- and agent-authored code for design quality.
• Design data models and database schemas (relational and NoSQL, e.g. PostgreSQL / Aurora, DynamoDB) and optimise database performance through query tuning, indexing, partitioning and caching.
• Enhance application security — secure coding practices, authentication and authorisation (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC), input validation, secrets handling, and remediation of OWASP Top 10 and SAST / DAST / SCA findings.
2. Cloud platform architecture, infrastructure as code & cost
• Design and own STYL’s AWS landing zones and shared platform — multi-account organisation, networking (VPC, PrivateLink), identity and environment strategy.
• Define all infrastructure as code (Terraform and/or AWS CDK / CloudFormation) as reusable, versioned modules that both engineers and AI agents can consume safely.
• Run and evolve the container and serverless runtime (Amazon EKS / ECS, Lambda) and the event backbone (EventBridge, SQS / SNS, MSK) that underpins our event-driven architecture.
• Estimate the cloud cost of new solutions and architecture options up front, and optimise cost at the platform level, right-sizing, shared infrastructure, Savings Plans / reserved capacity and cost visibility.
3. CI/CD, release engineering & Git workflow
• Own the CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, ArgoCD or equivalent GitOps) that build, test, scan and promote every change, human- or agent-authored.
• Encode quality gates in the pipeline (SonarQube, SAST / SCA, policy-as-code) so the Human Governance Gate reviews evidence rather than re-running checks by hand.
• Enable safe, frequent releases through progressive delivery, automated rollback and clean branching strategies across parallel production lines.
4. Technical leadership & continuous adaptation
• Act as the senior technical voice for architecture and platform decisions: write architecture decision records, review designs and mentor engineers and Fleet Commanders on engineering and platform practice.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging infrastructure, AI-ops and agent tooling, and automate away recurring toil.
• Experience — 6+ years of professional software development, including at least 3 years designing software architecture for production systems, plus substantial hands-on DevOps / platform engineering experience running workloads on AWS.
• Educational foundation — Bachelor& degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Software engineering & architecture — writes production-quality code in at least one general-purpose language (Java, Python, Go or TypeScript); strong in design patterns, testing and code review; able to design service architectures, APIs and integration patterns and articulate their trade-offs.
• Database design & optimisation — solid relational data modelling and SQL; experience with performance tuning (query plans, indexing, partitioning) and with choosing between relational, NoSQL and caching stores.
• Application security — applies secure coding practices and OWASP guidance; understands authentication and authorisation (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC), encryption and secrets management, and can triage and fix findings from SAST / DAST / SCA tools.
• Distributed & event-driven systems — understands messaging, idempotency, back-pressure, failure modes and the scaling and resilience trade-offs behind a platform design.
• Cloud, DevOps & infrastructure — strong hands-on experience with AWS core services (networking, IAM, compute, storage, databases) and infrastructure as code (Terraform and/or CDK); strong with containers and Kubernetes; fluent in Linux, Git and CI/CD design.
• A supervisor& mindset toward AI — hands-on with AI-assisted coding tools and multi-agent workflows; able to judge agent-generated code and infrastructure changes critically and design guardrails that make them safe.
• Multi-agent systems & LLM platforms – experience building and deploying multi-agent systems to production; familiar with major LLM providers (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock) and LLM gateways (e.g. LiteLLM, Portkey or equivalent) for model routing, rate limiting, fallback and cost control.
• Leadership & communication — able to drive technical direction across squads, explain trade-offs clearly to engineers and stakeholders, and mentor others.
• AWS certification — required to apply; candidates must hold a current AWS Associate-level certification or higher — Solutions Architect — Associate (SAA-C03), Developer — Associate (DVA-C02) or SysOps Administrator / CloudOps Engineer — Associate. A Professional-level certification (DevOps Engineer — Professional or Solutions Architect — Professional) is a strong advantage.
