About The Role 

The Director of Operations, Vietnam will lead operational initiatives of our Technology and Operations Excellence Hub in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam is a major hub for Hello Clever. The site delivers global products, specialist capability and scalable execution for the markets we operate in today and the ones we enter next. You will work closely with the Head of Operations, the Director of Technology, People & Culture and our global Operations team managers to turn global priorities into a coordinated local plan, and to build a site that runs with real operational discipline. 

What You'll Do

• Hub strategy and operating plan: Build a cohesive, scalable Technology and Operations Excellence Hub. Translate global priorities into a local plan with clear owners, sequencing and measures, and report outcomes back to the Head of Operations. 
• Local leadership rhythm: Establish and run the site's operating cadence, including a routine Vietnam Hub leadership review with leadership and relevant functional managers. 
• Workforce and capacity visibility: Maintain a single, accurate view of site capacity and workforce across all functions. Coordinate workforce planning and hiring priorities with functional leaders and People & Culture and surface capacity risk early. 
• Member experience, engagement and retention: Own the engagement and retention action plan for the site. Partner with People & Culture on local implementation of global people programs, leadership development and onboarding and offboarding readiness. 
• Workplace and local governance: Own workplace readiness and the member experience in Vietnam, including local vendor and office governance within approved policy and budget. Lead the Vietnam Events & Workplace Experience (EWE) roles, aligned with global EWE standards. 
• Cross-functional execution and continuity: Own the site's cross-functional dependencies and the actions that unblock them. Own business continuity readiness and provide operational inputs and follow-through to our nominated Chief Representative on statutory and government matters. 

What We're Looking For

• 5-8 years of senior operations or site leadership experience in fintech, payments, technology, shared services or a global capability centre, with a strong background in operations management or business operations. 
• Proven success leading through a matrix, delivering outcomes on a site where most people do not report to you, and holding a clear boundary between site accountability and functional authority. 
• Track record building operating rhythm from a low base, including cadence, standards, reporting, action tracking and escalation paths that hold up as the site grows. 
• Experience partnering with People & Culture on engagement, retention and the local implementation of global people programs. 
• Workplace, vendor and office governance experience, including budget accountability and business continuity planning. 
• Strong judgement across operational risk, control and capacity, with the ability to escalate early. 
• Proven ability to work across Technology, Operations, People & Culture and executive teams in a distributed, multi-timezone environment. 
• Professional working fluency in English and Vietnamese, written and spoken. 
• Based in Ho Chi Minh City.
