As a pioneer in the new frontier of energy efficient high-performance computing, Ampere is part of the Softbank Group of companies driving sustainable computing for AI, Cloud, and Edge applications.
Join us at Ampere and work alongside a passionate and growing team - we’d love to have you apply!
**About The Role**
As an IC Package Signal/Power Integrity Engineer, you will be directly working in the Package and Systems group. Being part of a dedicated team, you will focus on system level signal/power characteristics to meet design specifications
**What You’ll Achieve**
- Review package and PCB layout design for signals and power delivery network
- Perform Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) modeling and analysis for both pre-layout and post-layout stages, utilizing:
+ Frequency-domain extraction (e.g., S-parameter models).
- Time-domain simulation (e.g., transient, statistical simulations).
- Document simulation results, methodologies, and present data analysis effectively to internal and external teams.
- Collaborate closely with Package layout, Hardware Platform, and Silicon engineering teams to optimize substrate layout design.
**About You**
- BS./ MS./ PhD. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 5 years of experience in design, simulation, measurement, or validation in the domains of power integrity or signal integrity
- Strong understanding of the electrical characteristics of interconnects and the analog front-end circuits, which is crucial for effective high-speed signal propagation and for ensuring stable power delivery to devices without compromising signal integrity
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, collaborate on solutions, and implement them effectively.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience in working with electrical interconnect models, such as s-parameter models and SPICE models using industry-standard tools such as Ansys HFSS, Cadence Sigrity, Keysight ADS, etc.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
