JOB DESCRIPTION

LLM & Conversational Intelligence

• Develop and fine-tune LLMs for humanoid robots, supporting instruction following, dialogue understanding, contextual reasoning, and long-term conversational coherence.

• Implement safety alignment strategies, hallucination mitigation, and robust fallback behaviors for LLM-powered agents.

• Design evaluation metrics and automated testing pipelines for LLM quality, latency, and robustness.

NLP & Dialogue Systems

• Build and integrate NLP pipelines for intent detection, slot filling, summarization, dialogue state tracking, and real-time conversation handling.

• Develop and optimize RAG or memory-enhanced architectures for context-aware robot interactions.

Speech Recognition & Synthesis

• Develop high-accuracy ASR/STT systems optimized for noisy, real-world environments.

• Build expressive, low-latency TTS pipelines optimized for edge devices and real-time interaction.

• Improve speech naturalness, clarity, and multilingual adaptability.

Deployment & Optimization

• Optimize inference for deployment on embedded platforms (e.g., Jetson AGX Orin), RTX GPUs, or hybrid cloud architectures.

• Reduce latency, memory footprint, and power consumption while maintaining model quality.

• Prepare and manage datasets (text + speech), including cleaning, augmentation, labeling, and multilingual expansion.

• Collaborate closely with Conversation AI, Control, Vision, and Mobile teams to integrate language and speech technologies into the humanoid robot’s cognitive system.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Relevant Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, NLP, Machine Learning, or related fields.

• Strong programming skills in Python; hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Solid understanding of Transformers, attention mechanisms, and modern LLM architectures.

• Experience training or fine-tuning large language models (e.g., LLaMA, Qwen, Mistral, GPT-style models).

• Hands-on experience with ASR/STT pipelines (e.g., Whisper, NeMo, WeNet, Vosk).

• Hands-on experience with TTS frameworks (e.g., FastPitch, Tacotron, Glow-TTS, HiFi-GAN, Bark).

• Strong understanding of text preprocessing, tokenization strategies, embeddings, and semantic similarity methods.

• Experience deploying NLP/LLM/STT/TTS models in production systems or robotic platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building conversational agents or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for robotics applications.

• Familiarity with dialogue management frameworks (e.g., Rasa, LangGraph, ReAct, or agentic frameworks).

• Experience in multilingual speech modeling (Vietnamese + English preferred).

• Knowledge of inference optimization techniques, including TensorRT, ONNX, quantization (INT8/FP16), and latency reduction.

• Research publications in NLP, LLMs, or Speech Processing.

• Understanding of grounding language outputs into robot actions (LLM-to-Control pipelines).
