The Position

We are seeking an exceptional product leader to own the vision, strategy, and execution of MetaDefender Endpoint — the endpoint foundation that delivers peripheral media protection, advanced compliance, remote access control, vulnerability detection, and patch management to secure critical assets and maintain organizational security. This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end ownership of a broad endpoint portfolio spanning multiple high-value use cases, every endpoint agent flavor across desktop and mobile, a free global community edition, and a platform strategy that other OPSWAT product lines build on. You will set the roadmap, work hands-on with top global R&D teams every day, and build the business and partnerships that scale endpoint across the globe. 

The Product & Portfolio 

MetaDefender Endpoint secures devices inside critical IT and OT networks and powers a portfolio of endpoint use cases. This role owns that portfolio end to end: 

• Peripheral Media Protection: the foundational use case — scanning and sanitizing removable media and peripheral devices before their content can be accessed, protecting devices inside critical IT and OT networks from USB and removable-media threats. 

• Advanced Compliance: continuous endpoint posture and compliance assessment — verifying device health, configuration, and security controls against regulatory frameworks and organizational policy, with audit-ready evidence. 

• Vulnerability Assessment: continuous asset inspection and file-based vulnerability assessment with CVSS-based risk prioritization to surface the vulnerabilities that matter most, before and after software is installed. 

• Patch Management: a strategic growth direction for the company — centralized patch management across on-premises, air-gapped, and cloud environments, automatically patching third-party applications and OS updates on flexible schedules and with audit-ready evidence. 

• Zero Trust Access: real-time device posture and compliance checks that feed continuous, least-privilege, per-application access — layering device health onto identity so every access decision reflects who the user is and whether their device is healthy. 

• Endpoint as a platform: the shared endpoint foundation that OPSWAT’s other product lines — such as Managed File Transfer, Network Access Control, and Endpoint Malware Scanning — build their endpoint capabilities on, so each team ships on a single, common endpoint architecture without losing the agility and domain expertise it owns. 

The role owns every flavor of the endpoint agent — from Windows and macOS desktop clients to iOS and Android mobile apps — delivering a consistent endpoint experience across desktop and mobile platforms. 

Beyond the commercial offering, this role also stewards the free MetaDefender Endpoint community — an open, no-cost download that lets anyone experience OPSWAT’s technologies firsthand — growing adoption, gathering feedback, and building a pipeline into the commercial portfolio. 

About This Role 

This is a hands-on, technically-engaged product leadership role — not a pure strategy or coordination seat. You own the full endpoint portfolio across its commercial use cases, every agent flavor, and its community edition, and you are accountable for the outcomes: adoption, growth, and customer success. You partner with global R&D on a day-to-day basis — in the details of architecture, prioritization, and release — and you champion the platform strategy that lets multiple use-case teams build on a shared endpoint foundation while preserving each team’s speed and expertise. You bring an AI-first mindset, leveraging AI in the day-to-day work of the team to maximize efficiency and output. You build, mentor, and lead a team of product manager, product designer, product marketing, and engineering professionals, set the bar for product excellence, and represent endpoint to customers, partners, and executive leadership. 

What You Will Be Doing 

• Own product vision & strategy: define, refine, and champion the vision and roadmap for the MetaDefender Endpoint portfolio — compliance and patch management, zero trust access, and vulnerability management — aligned to business goals and evolving market conditions. 

• Drive patch and compliance as a growth engine: make centralized, cross-environment patch management (including air-gapped and OT) a flagship direction, and translate it into differentiated roadmap and go-to-market. 

• Champion the endpoint platform: lead the strategy to establish MetaDefender Endpoint as the single architecture that use-case teams (e.g., Managed File Transfer, Network Access Control, and Endpoint Malware Scanning) develop on — enabling reuse and consistency while protecting each team’s agility and ownership of its business goals. 

• Own every agent flavor: drive a consistent, high-quality endpoint experience across all agent platforms — Windows and macOS desktop clients and iOS and Android mobile apps. 

• Lead with an AI-first mindset: bring AI into the day-to-day work of the product organization — from research and requirements to analysis and delivery — to maximize efficiency and output across the team. 

• Grow and steward the community edition: own the free MetaDefender Endpoint community experience end to end — adoption, engagement, feedback loops, and conversion into commercial value. 

• Work hands-on with R&D: partner with global R&D teams daily — writing crisp requirements, making trade-offs, and driving execution through to high-quality, timely releases. 

• Build business and partnerships: develop the business case, pricing, and packaging, and cultivate technology and channel partnerships that expand endpoint’s reach and ecosystem. 

• Lead market & competitive analysis: stay ahead of emerging trends, assess competitive products, and identify customer needs to inform prioritization and positioning. 

• Drive user-centered development: advocate for the end user by gathering feedback, analyzing usage data, and driving continuous improvement in usability, functionality, and satisfaction. 

• Orchestrate cross-functional delivery: partner closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to deliver high-quality releases and seamless integration into the broader OPSWAT portfolio. 

• Track performance: establish clear KPIs, monitor product and adoption performance, and use insights to guide enhancements across both commercial and community. 

• Communicate with stakeholders: clearly articulate strategy, updates, and results to internal teams, executive leadership, and customers — fostering alignment and enthusiasm. 

• Build and lead the team: build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, cross-disciplinary team of product managers, product designers, product marketing, and engineering professionals, setting a strong bar for product craft and execution. 

What We Need From You 

• Product leadership experience: 10+ years in product management with several years leading and growing PM teams, ideally within cybersecurity, endpoint, or infrastructure software. 

• Broad endpoint portfolio ownership: a track record managing a wide range of endpoint use cases — such as compliance, patch management, vulnerability management, and secure/zero-trust access — not a single narrow feature area. 

• Deep domain knowledge: strong grasp of cybersecurity, endpoint security best practices, data protection, threat prevention, patch and vulnerability management, and device posture/compliance. 

• Hands-on and technical: comfortable working shoulder-to-shoulder with R&D day to day, engaging credibly on architecture and trade-offs, and going deep in the product rather than staying at the surface. 

• Multi-platform endpoint experience: experience delivering endpoint or agent software across operating systems and device types — Windows and macOS desktop, and iOS and Android mobile. 

• Platform product thinking: experience building or evolving a shared platform that multiple teams develop on, balancing consistency and reuse with team autonomy and speed. 

• AI-first ways of working: an AI-first mindset — you actively apply AI tools to your own and your team’s daily work to move faster and raise quality. 

• Community / product-led growth: experience growing a free, community, or product-led offering and converting adoption into commercial outcomes is a strong plus. 

• Business & partnership builder: demonstrated ability to build the business — pricing, packaging, GTM — and to establish technology and channel partnerships. 

• Track record of delivery: proven experience managing products from concept through launch, with results in user adoption, revenue growth, or market penetration. 

• Analytical & decisive: strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach. 

• Exceptional communicator: outstanding interpersonal and executive communication skills, enabling collaboration across cross-functional teams and credibility with customers and leadership. 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus. 

• Ways of working: familiarity with Agile methodologies or similar frameworks.
