The Software Engineer (SE) is responsible for writing software programs, writing tests, fixing bugs, reporting status and issues, and is accountable for any unit test leakage.
Responsibilities
- To develop software program with limited support from senior engineers
- To write code in compliance with established coding quality standard of the company
- To write unit tests and run through all the test cases for assigned tasks and ensure all cases tested and passed before release for testing
- To be able to securely and effectively use the AI in the SDLC
- To self-train on new technologies
- To implement strictly all the customer’s process if being requested, company’s processes and systems complied with CMMi standard.
- To report directly to the Project Manager/Project Leader for project related issues and his/her line manager for all other issues including problems in a project
- To have authority on all the matters related to programming tasks assigned by the Project Manager/Project Leader in charge
- To be liable for keeping the confidentiality of all technological and business secrets of the Company during the employment
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in Python, with hands-on experience in frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, or Falcon. Knowledge of Go is a plus.
- Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, clean architecture, coding standards, and code quality.
- Experience in web service development using REST or SOAP.
- Proficiency in SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift.
- Familiarity with SQLAlchemy or other ORM frameworks is a plus.
- Basic understanding of NoSQL or graph databases such as Neo4j. Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and AJAX.
- Familiarity with at least one modern front-end framework, such as React, Vue.js, Angular, or Next.js.
- Understanding of front-end development tools and libraries such as Webpack, Vite, and Storybook.
- Basic knowledge of unit testing, web security, and application performance.
- Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Generative AI and experience using common AI tools in the SDLC, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
- Ability to review and validate AI-generated outputs before applying them.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Ability to understand technical materials in English and handle everyday work-related conversations.
- Good problem-solving skills, with a strong interest in software development and continuous technical learning.
