**Job overview**
As a Data Platform Architect, you will work with business stakeholders and technology leaders to define the architecture, standards, and governance that underpin the organization's data ecosystem. You will ensure enterprise data platforms are scalable, secure, and fit for purpose while enabling teams to create, share, and consume trusted data products through a modern Data Mesh operating model.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Data Architecture Standards \& Governance**
- Define and maintain enterprise data architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and technology guidelines.
- Establish architectural guardrails for data platforms, data products, integration patterns, and platform capabilities.
- Drive consistency and standardization across data initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture objectives.
**Data Mesh \& Operating Model**
- Lead the adoption and evolution of Data Mesh principles across the organization.
- Define standards for Data Products, domain ownership, federated governance, and self\-service data capabilities.
- Establish governance models that balance domain autonomy with enterprise\-wide consistency and control.
**Architecture Review \& Assurance**
- Review and assess data platform, analytics, AI, and data integration solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and target architectures.
- Act as the architecture authority for major data initiatives, providing guidance, challenge, and approval where appropriate.
- Evaluate proposed technologies, solutions, and architectural approaches, ensuring decisions align with long\-term strategic objectives.
- Identify architectural risks, technical debt, governance gaps, and compliance concerns, providing practical recommendations and mitigation plans.
**Qualifications:**
**Educational qualification:**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data, analytics, platform engineering, or enterprise architecture roles.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Platform Architecture, Enterprise Data Architecture, or a similar architecture\-focused role.
- Strong experience defining, governing, and reviewing enterprise\-scale data architectures and platforms.
- Deep understanding of

, including Data Products, domain ownership, federated governance, and self\-service data platforms.
- Experience establishing architecture standards, governance frameworks, and technology roadmaps across multiple business and technology domains.
- Strong understanding of large\-scale data ecosystems, including data ingestion, integration, transformation, storage, and consumption patterns.
- Experience reviewing and governing
**ETL/ELT architectures**
supporting both batch and real\-time data processing workloads.
