**Key Responsibilities**
This is a full\-time, on\-site role for a PostgreSQL Database Administrator.
The PostgreSQL Database Administrator will manage and maintain the database systems, ensuring high performance, security, and availability. Daily tasks include database installation, configuration, optimization, backup and recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting. The role also involves working closely with development teams for database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
**Qualifications**
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL installation, configuration, and administration
- Expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing techniques
- Experience in backup and recovery strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions
- Understanding of database security best practices and user role management
- Knowledge of scripting languages like SQL, Bash, or Python
- Familiarity with cloud environments and database deployments
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex database performance issues
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for cross\-departmental collaboration
- Prior experience in a similar role or with large\-scale database systems is a plus.
