**Job overview**
The Business Performance Manager is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and driving the business performance of the Fintech \& Payment division. This role serves as the bridge between data and strategy — translating operational metrics (transactions, revenue, users) into actionable insights that support leadership decision\-making and help business units achieve their growth targets.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**1\. Business Case \& Investment Governance**
- Own the business case review process for all VSP product and technology initiatives.
- Define and maintain a standardized ROI evaluation framework covering CAC, LTV, payback period, and margin contribution per product line: Payments, BNPL/Credit, Insurance, Payment Gateway, and Merchant Platform.
- Challenge assumptions submitted by product and commercial teams before escalation to the Director or senior executive committee.
**2\. Commercial Partnership Evaluation**
- Evaluate the financial terms and commercial logic of all partnership agreements, including bank integrations, lending partners, and insurance distributors.
- Model revenue share, commission structures, and risk\-adjusted economics for each partner category.
- Provide written go/no\-go recommendations with defensible rationale for Director sign\-off prior to any commercial commitment.
**3\. PnL Performance Monitoring**
- Build and maintain VSP's internal management PnL — tracking actual revenue, cost, and margin vs. plan across all product verticals.
- Monitor key business KPIs: MAU, total payment volume (TPV), revenue per user, gross margin per product, CAC vs. LTV ratio, and infrastructure cost per transaction.
- Produce monthly business performance reports for the Director and quarterly summaries for senior leadership review.
**4\. Infrastructure \& OpEx Cost Control**
- Partner with the Technology team to track and challenge infrastructure and operational expenditure across key cost categories.
- Build unit economics models to identify cost\-per\-transaction thresholds and flag structural inefficiencies as transaction volumes scale.
- Translate technical cost drivers into business\-language reporting for leadership.
**5\. Strategic Scenario Modeling**
- Maintain VSP's multi\-year financial model, updating assumptions as actuals emerge.
- Support the Director in preparing financial materials for internal approval and senior executive committee reviews.
**Qualifications:**
**Must\-Have**
- 6–10 years of experience in business planning, commercial finance, strategy, or business development within fintech, digital banking, payments, or technology platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to build financial models from scratch — business cases, unit economics, PnL projections — without relying on pre\-built templates.
- Strong grasp of digital financial services business models: interchange/MDR economics, lending commission structures, insurance distribution margins, and platform fee models.
- Experience working with multiple revenue streams and cost categories simultaneously in a multi\-product environment.
- Comfortable challenging peers and senior stakeholders with data — not just reporting numbers, but forming and defending a point of view.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets; SQL is a plus.
**Preferred**
- Prior exposure to embedded finance, super\-app ecosystems, or multi\-sided platform economics.
- Experience supporting M\&A due diligence or commercial structuring of partnership agreements.
- Familiarity with Vietnam's payment regulatory environment: NHNN licensing, NAPAS fee structures, SBV reporting requirements.
- Experience within or adjacent to the Group's entities, GSM, or Vietnamese conglomerate ecosystems.
**Language**
Business\-level English required. Vietnamese native/fluent required.
