**Job overview**
The Chief Data Officer (CDO) at VinSmart Future is a C\-level executive responsible for defining and executing the data strategy for their assigned product division, while contributing to VSF's group\-wide data vision. This leader will build the data platform, governance framework, analytics capabilities, and AI\-ready data products that power their division's products and operational decisions.
This is not a traditional BI or reporting role. The right candidate is a strategic data leader who has built large\-scale data systems in high\-frequency, product\-driven environments — and who understands how data architecture, data culture, and data products create competitive advantage.
We seek leaders who have built and operated data systems at world\-class technology companies, top\-tier AI labs, or high\-growth tech unicorns — in mobility, healthcare, communication, fintech, or equivalent high\-complexity domains.

**Qualifications:**
**Required Experience**
- 12\+ years in data engineering, analytics, data platform, or data science roles.
- 5\+ years in senior data leadership (Head of Data, VP Data, CDO, or equivalent).
- Proven track record building and scaling large\-scale data platforms serving millions of users or high\-frequency transactions.
- NLP/conversational AI data infrastructure: intent data, conversation logs, model feedback loops.
- User engagement analytics, retention modeling, or enterprise communication platforms.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Direct experience in the relevant domain: ride\-hailing/mobility, hospital/clinical systems, or enterprise communication/messaging.
- Experience building data systems at a scale of 100M\+ events/day or 10M\+ users.
- Prior experience in Southeast Asia or Vietnam market context.
- Published work, patents, or advanced degree in data science, computer science, or a domain\-relevant field.
- Vietnamese fluency is a plus; English fluency is essential.
