ABOUT THE POSITION

The Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting VinUniversity‘s commitment to maintaining high standards of governance, integrity, and regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring compliance programs across the institution, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reports to: Head of Compliance & Legal

• Monitor and assess the University‘s compliance with Vietnamese laws, Ministry of Education regulations, and internal policies.
• Conduct compliance assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and internal controls across the institution.
• Identify compliance risks and areas for improvement; develop reports with recommendations to enhance governance and institutional compliance.
• Investigate policy violations and compliance concerns as assigned; coordinate implementation of corrective actions.
• Support the maintenance and development of compliance documentation, policies, and compliance frameworks.
• Work collaboratively with academic and administrative departments to strengthen compliance awareness and address compliance matters effectively.
• Prepare compliance updates and reports for management as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

 

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

1. 1. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor‘s degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Knowledge of Vietnamese corporate law, commercial law, education law, and higher education accreditation standards.
• Professional experience in compliance, internal audit, legal affairs, or risk management; experience in higher education, financial services, or corporate environments is preferred.

• Understanding of compliance frameworks, governance structures, risk management, and internal control principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain compliance matters clearly to various stakeholders.
• Good organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• High level of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
