Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Bank’s enterprise-wide project management framework, including governance policies, methodologies, processes, monitoring mechanisms, and supporting tools.
Establish, maintain, and continuously improve project management standards, procedures, guidelines, templates, and governance documentation to ensure consistency and effectiveness across the Bank.
Ensure alignment of project governance practices with the Bank’s strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
2. Enterprise Project Portfolio Management
Oversee the Bank’s project portfolio and coordinate the development, prioritization, and adjustment of the enterprise project roadmap.
Evaluate and challenge new project proposals to ensure alignment with the Bank’s strategic priorities, resource capacity, and project governance requirements.
Monitor portfolio performance, project interdependencies, resource allocation, and strategic alignment across initiatives.
Proactively identify portfolio-level risks, conflicts, bottlenecks, and underperforming projects, and recommend corrective actions and escalation measures when necessary.
Provide portfolio insights, reporting, and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
3. Strategic Project Leadership and Oversight
Directly manage strategic and high-priority projects assigned by the Bank, ensuring successful delivery within approved scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
Serve as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for Project Sponsors, Steering Committees, and key stakeholders.
Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, issue resolution, and change management activities.
Escalate critical issues and risks appropriately while driving timely decision-making and resolution.
Ensure project teams comply with PMO governance standards, methodologies, processes, and reporting requirements.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation, records, and audit trails.
Identify recurring project challenges and systemic issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the project management ecosystem.
4. Project Management Capability Development and Knowledge Management
Establish and manage enterprise knowledge management practices, including the collection, documentation, and dissemination of lessons learned and best practices.
Promote a culture of project management excellence across the Bank.
Partner with Human Resources and business units to identify capability gaps and develop project management competency-building programs.
Support the professional development of project managers and project teams through coaching, mentoring, training, and governance guidance.
Drive the adoption of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices throughout the organization.
