Senior Test Engineer is responsible for conducting manual or automated testing based on project requirements, covering both functional and non-functional aspects at the API and UI levels for web, desktop, and mobile applications, enhances quality processes, and mentors junior team members to strengthen testing capabilities. This role involves collaborating with developers and product teams to identify issues early, enhance test coverage, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Job Descriptions
- Participate in reviewing and analyzing project requirements to define and implement test strategies based on project requirements.
- Follow up the requirement to understand test objectives, provide input on the testability of requirements, and estimate testing activities.
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Provide training and mentorship to 1-2 team members on testing practices, and AI usage
- Perform basic security, load, and performance testing as needed.
- Apply AI tools to optimize test design, regression, and automation test.
- Evaluate and implement AI tools / agents in testing workflows
- Execute and analyze performance tests; perform basic security testing (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
- Drive test process improvements and contribute to best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and quality standards.
- To perform other tasks assigned by the Line Manager and Project Manager.
Qualifications
- University level with bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalence.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, covering both manual and automation test.
- Proficiency in at least a programming language (e.g., C#, Python, Java, JavaScript)
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot Framework)
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in object-oriented programming, along with requisite coding and debugging skills.
- Strong capability in AI-assisted testing, prompt engineering.
- Ability to review, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs before use.
- Understanding of AI risks, ROI, and practical use cases
- Experience in basic security testing and vulnerability awareness
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Eager to learn and apply new testing tools/techniques.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
