**Masan Group**
is digitizing and standardizing how core corporate functions operate across the Group and its subsidiaries (WinCommerce, Masan Consumer, Masan MEATLife, Phúc Long, WinX). The Legal Transformation program is building a centralized legal technology platform — contract lifecycle management, entity and corporate records, matter management, compliance tracking, and document automation — for a high\-volume, multi\-entity, bilingual legal function.
You will be the AI engineer of this program: the person who decides where AI genuinely adds value in legal workflows, builds it, and gets it adopted. You work independently — there is no AI team behind you on this program. That means full ownership from problem framing to production, and it means your judgment carries real weight.
**Key responsibilities**
- Own the AI workstream of the Legal Transformation program end\-to\-end: identify high\-value use cases with legal stakeholders, scope them, build them, ship them
- Design and build LLM\-powered capabilities for Legal: contract review and risk extraction, clause comparison, document drafting assistance, legal Q\&A over Group knowledge, compliance monitoring
- Build RAG pipelines over a bilingual (Vietnamese/English) legal corpus — OCR and parsing of scanned contracts, chunking, embedding and retrieval quality, citation grounding
- Own evaluation and guardrails: build eval sets with legal SMEs, control hallucination, set accuracy thresholds appropriate for legal content, design human\-in\-the\-loop review
- Integrate AI capabilities into the legal platform stack (CLM, document repositories, e\-signature) alongside the program's software and vendor teams
- Handle sensitive data properly: access control, confidentiality safeguards, audit trails
- Communicate across both worlds: run discovery workshops with lawyers, explain AI capabilities and limits to business leadership in plain language, and work technical details with engineers and vendors — in both Vietnamese and English.
**Requirements**
- 5\+ years in software/ML engineering, including 2\+ years building LLM applications in production (not prototypes) — RAG, agents, or fine\-tuned systems with real users
- Proven ability to work as the sole AI engineer: you've owned an AI capability end\-to\-end (framing → build → deploy → iterate) without a team of peers to lean on
- Strong Python; hands\-on with LLM APIs, orchestration frameworks, and vector databases
- Evaluation discipline: you can show how you measured quality and controlled hallucination — not just that you "used GPT/Claude"
- Production engineering fundamentals: CI/CD, monitoring, latency and cost optimization
- Excellent communication in both Vietnamese and English — you can present to non\-technical legal and business leaders, run requirement discussions with lawyers, and hold technical conversations with engineers, comfortably in either language
**Bonus Points**
- Document AI experience: OCR, layout\-aware parsing, information extraction from contracts or forms
- Exposure to legal, contract, or compliance workflows, or LegalTech/CLM platforms
- Vietnamese NLP experience
- Work in regulated or high\-confidentiality environments (banking, insurance, healthcare)
