Role Summary

As an iOS Developer, you'll work on and solve some of the many interesting challenges we are facing, learn new ways of working, and build delightful, high-quality mobile experiences for our customers. We work in project-based sprints within a small mobile team, alongside the Product and Design teams. 

 

Job Description 

We are looking for an iOS Engineer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at iPhone and iPad devices. Your primary focus will be the development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside Platform Leads, engineers, and developers working across different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem-solving, thoughtful design, and creating quality products is essential. 

This is a hands-on role requiring strong proficiency in Swift and modern iOS development practices. Experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, and Apple's ecosystem is highly desirable. 

Responsibilities 

• Design and build applications for the iOS platform. 
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. 
• Contribute to shared business logic and platform libraries built using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP). 
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, performance issues, and bugs. 
• Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability. 
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation. 
• Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews. 
• Contribute to improving engineering practices, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines. 

Our Ideal Candidate 

• Is proficient with Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, and Combine. 
• Has experience developing and maintaining production-quality iOS applications. 
• Has 5+ years of professional iOS development experience, with at least one published app on the App Store. 
• Is familiar with RESTful APIs and integrating mobile applications with back-end services. Experience with GraphQL would be a bonus. 
• Has a strong understanding of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and platform design principles. 
• Has experience with modern iOS architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar approaches. 
• Gives attention to creating simple, understandable code and has the discipline to avoid over-engineered solutions. We try to keep dependencies to a minimum. Simplicity breeds robustness and speed. 
• Is familiar with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices. Experience with Harness would be a bonus. 
• Has experience writing unit, integration, and UI tests. 
• Has proficient experience with Git for source control. 
• Has the ability to work effectively as part of a team, taking input and guidance while contributing positively to technical discussions. 
• Has strong English communication skills. 

Good to Have (Optional) 

• Experience building production applications using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) 
• Experience with GraphQL, particularly using the Apollo iOS framework. 
• Experience with Lottie, Rive, or other animation frameworks. 
• Familiarity with mobile observability, analytics, and crash-reporting tools. 
• Experience in Fintech, Banking, or regulated industries. 
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices and creating inclusive user experiences.
