**ABOUT THE ROLE:**
FinX aims to build a digital bank that will deliver on the promise of simplicity, technological advancement, superior customer products \& services.
You will work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Product teams to design, build, and deploy Machine Learning/AI, data\-driven solutions that power our business operations, product intelligence, recommendation systems, and AI\-driven decision\-making in banking and fintech fields
**Job Description:**
- Develop predictive and prescriptive machine learning models (classification, regression, forecasting, clustering, NLP, etc.)
- Build and optimize recommendation engines, scoring models, anomaly detection, and customer segmentation
- Develop risk scoring models for fraud detection, post\-mortem fraud, and suspicious customer behavior analysis
- Conduct feature engineering, model selection, training, evaluation, and tuning
- Deploy models to production in collaboration with Data/ML Engineering teams
- Analyze large datasets to extract insights and identify growth opportunities
- Work with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to define ML use cases
- Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and ML solutions
- Collaborate with Risk, Fraud, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver AI\-driven risk scoring and fraud monitoring solutions
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields
- 2–5\+ years of hands\-on work as a Data Scientist or ML/AI Engineer
- Good portfolio of end\-to\-end ML projects (recommendation, NLP, forecasting, scoring, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit\-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- Experience with ML lifecycle: data prep, modeling, evaluation, deployment, monitoring
- Strong statistical knowledge (probability, hypothesis testing, statistical modeling)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, etc.)
- Experience with fraud detection, risk scoring, anomaly detection, or behavioral analytics
- Strong problem\-solving and analytical mindset
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non\-technical stakeholders
- Collaboration and teamwork in a cross\-functional environment
**Nice to have:**
- Experience deploying ML models into production is a strong plus
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS), ML pipelines, and CI/CD
- Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Flink)
- Familiarity with vector databases and LLM\-based applications
- Experience building MLOps pipelines (Airflow, MLflow, Kubeflow)
- Experience in banking, fintech, fraud prevention, payment systems, or digital lending
