Senior Business Intelligence / Data Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence / Data Analyst for a complex banking analytics project.

You will work with business users and our delivery team from start to finish: clarify reporting needs, find the right data, build or review reports, and confirm that the results answer the business question. Power BI is our internal workbench, but strong experience with Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or a similar BI tool is also welcome.

What You Will Do

• Talk with business users and Business Analysts to understand the report, metric, and decision they need.

• Turn unclear requests into clear requirements before implementation.

• Find and check the right data; review SQL, joins, filters, calculations, and time logic.

• Build or review Power BI reports and explain how metrics and charts work.

• Review report results with Business Analysts and relevant business users, then prepare the questions and evidence needed for formal confirmation.

• Document key decisions and work closely with data, engineering, QA, and product teams.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of BI or data analytics experience, including at least 1 to 2 years leading or owning BI work from start to finish in one company.

• Strong hands-on skills in Power BI or another enterprise BI tool, with the ability to learn Power BI quickly if needed.

• Strong SQL and data modelling skills, including joins, data grain, metrics, filters, and time-based logic.

• Experience working directly with business users: clarify needs, find data, build reports, and validate results.

• Able to explain complex data topics in simple terms and write clear documentation.

• Professional Vietnamese and enough English to read technical documents and work with the team.

• Strong awareness of the confidentiality of business data, customer data, and mapping/specification documents within data projects.

• Ability to properly classify, label, and share documents with the right stakeholders through approved channels; does not disclose business or technical materials outside the scope of work.

• Ability to identify information security and data privacy requirements, as well as potential data leakage risks during requirements gathering and analysis.

Nice to Have

• Experience in banking, financial services, or another controlled enterprise-data environment.

• Advanced Power BI, DAX, Power Query, row-level security, gateway, or deployment experience.

• Experience with semantic layers, metric governance, UAT, or AI-enabled analytics products.
