About the Role

Behind every great speech model is high-quality, carefully labeled data — and that's where you come in.
As a Data Annotator (Speech), you'll listen to Vietnamese audio recordings and create accurate transcriptions and labels that our AI team uses to build and evaluate speech-recognition models. It's detail-driven work with real impact: what you produce directly shapes how well our voice technology understands real customers across every region of Vietnam.
This is a fixed-term labeling engagement of 2–3 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe Vietnamese audio recordings accurately and verbatim, faithfully capturing exactly what is said — including natural speech patterns and regional dialects.
- Apply audio attribute labels such as: regional accent, speaker gender.
- Follow the team's annotation guidelines and conventions closely to keep labeling consistent and high-quality.
- Participate in quality reviews and incorporate feedback to continuously improve labeling accuracy.
- Work within the team's annotation tools and workflow, and deliver assigned batches on schedule.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of speech recognition (ASR) or related machine-learning concepts.
- Ability to hear and distinguish regional Vietnamese accents, with a particular strength in the Central region.
- Excellent Vietnamese language skills: spelling, punctuation, and capitalization; strong listening comprehension, including in noisy audio.
- Responsible, careful, meticulous, and honest — you take pride in getting the details right.
- Patient and highly focused, comfortable with precise, detail-oriented work.
Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience in data annotation / labeling, especially audio or speech transcription.
- Familiarity with annotation or transcription tools.
- Background in linguistics or phonetics, or in language-related fields.
- Fluency across multiple Vietnamese regional accents, or a native speaker of the Central region.
- Comfort working with structured data files and basic computer tools.
